We are currently seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our team, responsible for conducting land and structural surveys to ensure precise execution of construction projects.
Job Summary: The Surveyor will be instrumental in providing key data regarding plot dimensions, building specifications, and geographical variances to guide architectural and engineering efforts. You will work closely with project managers and field teams, employing advanced surveying tools to collect and analyze data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments to establish legal property boundaries.
- Perform topographic, boundary, and A.L.T.A. surveys to provide data on elevation, contours, and features of the site for planning and design purposes.
- Prepare detailed reports and maps according to survey results and outline calculations.
- Coordinate findings with architects, engineers, and construction managers to provide updates on site conditions and modifications required for project designs.
- Maintain accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with local laws and industry regulations.
- Utilize specialized software to interpret data and present visual information.
- Collaborate with legal teams to establish property boundaries and resolve disputes if necessary.
- Monitor changes in the property landscape over time for ongoing projects.
- Manage multiple surveying projects, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in land surveying, with a strong understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the field.
- Proficient in the use of surveying equipment such as GPS, total stations, and levels.
- Experienced with CAD software and other mapping technologies.
- Excellent mathematical skills, capable of managing complex calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on large-scale projects.
- Flexibility to travel to various sites as required by the project needs.
