Job Summary: As a Safety Officer at Bold Target Contracting Company, you will play a crucial role in implementing and monitoring our company’s health and safety policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to minimize occupational health risks. Your proactive approach will directly contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce company health and safety policies and programs.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards at project sites.
- Organize and lead safety training sessions for employees and management.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to enforce safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed safety reports.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.
- Ensure all safety equipment is available on-site and maintained in good working order.
- Stay updated on new legislation and advancements in the field of occupational health and safety.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management, occupational health, or a related field.
- Relevant certification in health and safety such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong observational and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a professional attitude towards safety matters.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations on safety practices.
