Job Summary: As a Plumbing Engineer at Bold Target Contracting Company, you will design, analyze, and oversee the installation of plumbing systems. This role involves working on various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, to ensure all plumbing designs meet regulatory standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout detailed plumbing systems for new buildings and renovations, including water supply networks, waste and drainage systems, and other associated plumbing components.
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and construction managers to integrate plumbing systems into overall building designs.
- Conduct simulations and modeling of water supply systems, drainage systems, and other plumbing works using specialized software.
- Prepare plumbing specifications, schedules, and design drawings using CAD software.
- Perform calculations related to flow rates, water pressure, required material specifications, and other relevant plumbing engineering data.
- Ensure that all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including building codes and environmental guidelines.
- Supervise the installation of plumbing systems on-site to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot system issues during and post-installation, providing effective solutions and modifications.
- Provide technical support and consultation to project teams and clients regarding plumbing design and implementation issues.
- Document and maintain project files, reports, and records of work performed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in plumbing or fluid dynamics.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in plumbing design, preferably within a construction or engineering firm.
- Proficiency with CAD software and plumbing design tools such as AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, or similar.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and compliance requirements related to plumbing engineering.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with precise attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to coordinate across different teams and interact with clients effectively.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant certification is highly desirable.
