Job Summary: As a Mechanical Engineer at Bold Target Contracting Company, you will be involved in all stages of project development from concept and design to installation and final commissioning. You will apply your mechanical engineering skills to design and oversee the installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and other systems, ensuring they meet required specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze mechanical systems for construction projects, ensuring integration with the architectural and electrical aspects.
- Develop detailed plans and specifications for mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing.
- Perform and document engineering calculations related to load and energy consumption.
- Coordinate with other engineers, project managers, and construction professionals to ensure project criteria are met.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on engineering progress, potential challenges, and solutions.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and safety standards.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and schematics.
- Conduct system and equipment testing to verify design specifications, functionality, and compliance with operational standards.
- Prepare and present technical reports and findings detailing the design process, test results, and final recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within the construction or HVAC industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard mechanical codes and safety standards.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
