Job Summary: As an Insulation Engineer at Bold Target Contracting Company, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective insulation systems to improve the energy efficiency and acoustic performance of buildings. This role demands a deep understanding of thermal dynamics and materials science to develop solutions that meet both regulatory standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, evaluate, and implement insulation systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Conduct thermal and moisture transfer analysis to determine the appropriate insulation requirements and solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and construction teams to integrate insulation systems into building designs effectively.
- Optimize insulation materials and techniques for thermal efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
- Supervise the installation of insulation systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including specifications, calculations, and compliance reports.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in insulation materials and energy-efficient technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients regarding insulation options and benefits.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with energy standards and building codes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with a focus on energy efficiency or materials science.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insulation engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building science, thermal dynamics, and moisture management.
- Experience with software tools for thermal modeling and simulation, such as EnergyPlus, WUFI, or similar.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software for designing insulation systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management and communication skills, capable of leading projects and interacting effectively with stakeholders.
- Current knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and environmental regulations related to insulation and energy efficiency.
