Job Summary: As an Electrical Engineer at Bold Target Contracting Company, you will be involved in all phases of the electrical design process from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring all electrical systems are functional, efficient, and integrated seamlessly into our construction projects. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the safety, sustainability, and effectiveness of electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee the installation of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
- Develop detailed electrical plans using CAD software to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
- Perform calculations for loads, wire sizing, voltage drop, and energy consumption to ensure compatibility with current engineering principles and safety codes.
- Collaborate with other engineers and architects to integrate electrical designs with other building specifications.
- Specify power distribution systems, transformers, lighting, HVAC, and other electrical systems.
- Supervise the installation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with blueprints and specifications.
- Conduct system testing and troubleshooting following installation to ensure functionality and safety.
- Maintain project documentation, including compliance reports, inspection notes, and project specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering technology.
- Provide technical support and training to other team members and clients regarding electrical systems and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum of 3 years) as an Electrical Engineer in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering software such as AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, or similar.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills, capable of collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
