We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team and contribute to the success of our electrical design and implementation efforts.
Job Summary: The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery. You will be involved in projects from concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing, and handover. You will apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as electrical systems for buildings, including commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems and circuits, as well as contribute to the design of other electrical components and infrastructure.
- Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
- Estimate material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation purposes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as an Electrical Design Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in design and calculation software, such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar.
- Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes, electrical systems, and components.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Great attention to detail with a desire for excellence in delivery.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with multiple teams involved in a project.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
